Google TV

Goal:
Create a memorable, user-first experience that celebrates what's possible with Google TV, driving product education, awareness and consideration.

Outcome:
Designed and worked with product, research and technology teams to deliver an immersive, interactive web experience to showcase the launch of Google TV. Through rich animation, visuals, and inviting storytelling, the site encourages engagement and embraces human benefits over technical product features highlighted by the competitors.

Brought to life Google TV’s promise of creating a smarter, more curated way to find the content, while helping visitors easily understand Google TV’s unique features and benefits. In the first month after launch half of all the visitors to the site stayed with the full story from beginning to end, and 39% went on to purchase a Chromecast with Google TV.

Role:
Associate Creative Director — responsible with leading a cross disciplinary design team through concepting, prototyping, visual design and delivery.

Top: A photoshoot was not possible due to Covid19, so I worked with a 3D animator to build a living room and show how it gets transformed when various app features are turned on.

Bottom: Long scroll sequence illustrating the live stream capability in the app.

Next: Mobile screens, part of the responsive design.
